Bringing over 13 years of experience as a hitting instructor and 20+ as a coach, Ryan is recognized for his technical expertise and his mental toughness and dedication to developing resilient athletes. As a graduate of Center Grove High School, he continued his baseball career at the University of Indianapolis. Ryan was a key contributor to the Greyhounds baseball team his senior year, known for his savvy situational hitting and his team-first approach. He led his class in games played, and earned the Mental Attitude Award his senior year. Since college, he has coached numerous winning travel teams and developed hundreds of athletes, many of whom have gone on to play at the collegiate level. Ryan is deeply involved with his own kids on the baseball and softball fields, emphasizing not just skill development but also teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game. His approach combines individualized instruction, proven methods, and a commitment to helping each athlete reach their full potential, both on and off the field.

Tony is the Founder and Director of Performance at Frozen Ropes, a U.S.-based company providing instruction and coaching to athletes and coaches nationwide. He is a national columnist for Baseball America and author of Beyond the Ball, sharing insights on player development, sports parenting, and student-athlete success. A certified Open Focus Coach since 2018, Tony specializes in visual processing and visual search strategies for elite athletes. He has consulted with MLB teams, numerous college programs, and served as the performance coach for the USA Women’s Olympic Softball team. His work has been featured in Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, USA Today, Newsweek, and ESPN, and he regularly presents internationally, with recent engagements in Dubai, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, and Japan.

Alex Hooton

Pitching Instructor

Alex is a baseball player from Indiana who developed his game at Perry Meridian High School, where he competed at a high level as a right‑handed pitcher and position player. During his time at Perry Meridian, Alex contributed both in the pitching rotation and on the mound, showing a strong work ethic and athletic versatility. He also played for competitive travel teams, representing his region in events such as the Perfect Game circuits and earning all‑tournament recognition. Known for his commitment to improvement and team‑first mindset, Alex brings intensity and leadership to every drill and game, and continues to pursue development opportunities both on and off the field.
